Build a career rooted in service

Agent Qualifying Criteria

We look for people who can earn trust, take initiative and grow into advisors who help families protect what matters most.

Start a career conversation

Who are we looking for?

Motivated professionals, emerging leaders and career changers who see advising as a responsibility to the people they serve. Your experience matters—but so do your character, willingness to learn and consistency in taking action.

Experience in sales, real estate, accounting, travel, retail or community leadership can provide a useful foundation. Qualified adults at every career stage are welcome to explore their fit.

The qualities that build a strong advisor

01 · DRIVE & INITIATIVE

Self-motivated and action-oriented

  • A self-starter who follows through without constant prompting.
  • A record of achievement in employment, business or other responsibilities.
  • Ambition to build a meaningful career and pursue strong income goals.
  • Capacity to work under pressure while remaining professional.
02 · RELATIONSHIPS & REPUTATION

Comfortable connecting with people

  • Comfortable meeting new contacts and building genuine relationships.
  • Willing to prospect and network consistently to develop a clientele.
  • Active in community groups, committees, associations or gatherings.
  • Able to influence through clarity, credibility and trust.
03 · LEARNING & COMMUNICATION

Coachable and quick to learn

  • Able to absorb information and apply it thoughtfully.
  • A good listener who asks questions before offering solutions.
  • Willing to learn how to address objections and concerns respectfully.
  • Enthusiastic about developing professional knowledge and skills.
04 · CLIENT SERVICE & CHARACTER

Committed to the people you serve

  • Customer-service oriented, with dependable follow-up.
  • Respectful of other people’s feelings, circumstances and decisions.
  • Positive, enthusiastic and professional in difficult conversations.
  • Prepared to put client needs, trust and long-term relationships at the centre of the work.

Ambition with realistic expectations

A six-figure income may be a personal goal; it is not a promise or a qualification guarantee. Results depend on individual effort, licensing, experience, business development, expenses and other factors.

Bring examples, not just a résumé

Prepare to discuss these three areas in an introductory conversation:

YOUR TRACK RECORD

What have you achieved?

Share a meaningful accomplishment and how you handled setbacks or pressure.

YOUR PEOPLE SKILLS

How do you build trust?

Describe a time you listened carefully, resolved a concern or served someone well.

YOUR COMMITMENT

How will you build consistency?

Explain your willingness to learn, make new contacts and follow through on a regular plan.

These discussion prompts expand the supplied recruiting profile to help candidates prepare.

Where we meet potential candidates

Strong candidates often come through trusted relationships and active participation in professional and community life.

  • Centres of influence and referral partners
  • Recruiting seminars and career conversations
  • Clients interested in exploring an advisor career
  • Business and community leaders
  • Referred candidates
  • Friends and personal networks
  • Direct contact and personal observation
  • Appropriate mailing and email outreach

Before you begin

Do I need to be licensed already?

You can begin with an exploratory conversation about your background and goals. Advising on or selling insurance requires the appropriate licence and applicable approvals. Any training or onboarding pathway should be confirmed during the conversation.

Does meeting these qualities guarantee acceptance?

No. These criteria describe the candidate profile we seek. Suitability, licensing eligibility, role expectations and any onboarding requirements must be assessed individually.

Your next step

Could this be your next chapter?

Send a short introduction, your relevant experience and why you want to help families through insurance advice.
